However, it appears that not all of the names Barcelona wants to renew as quickly as possible. According to MARCA, Barcelona's sports management wants to wait a few months before renewing the contract of Danish defender Christensen, whose contract expires at the end of 2026.

While the Danish international has found his minutes to be inconsistent this season, he maintains a significant position in manager Hansi Flick's plans as a key defensive option.

The 29-year-old has earned the approval of the club's hierarchy, who value not only his contributions on the pitch but also his professional conduct. Despite this satisfaction, the path toward a contract extension remains untraveled, with the organization having yet to initiate formal discussions about his future.
