Barcelona have some key decisions to make regarding the make-up of their squad for the next season as the summer transfer window edges closer.
A new left-winger and a versatile full-back appear to be the main priorities for the Blaugrana with sporting director Deco and his team already working on possible signings.
The goalkeeping department, meanwhile, seems sorted with Barça set to count on Wojciech Szczesny as the backup to Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is closing in on a return from his injury.
Szczesny is expected to sign a one-year renewal, keeping him at the club until 2026 while Ter Stegen already has a contract until 2028. So, there are unlikely to be any moves made in the coming summer for a new shot-stopper.
However, Barcelona could consider reinforcing the goalkeeping department in the near future for the long run.
And, according to AS, Espanyol custodian Joan Garcia is a player that the Blaugrana admire a great deal.
The 23-year-old Spaniard has emerged as one of the best goalkeepers in La Liga this season but is increasingly likely to leave the club at the end of the season given that Espanyol need a big sale to balance the books.

Garcia has a release clause worth €25 million in his contract which could drop to €15 million in the summer if Espanyol get relegated from La Liga.
The amount would have gone up to €30 million if the youngster had broken into the Spain squad but that has not happened yet.
Barcelona have been tracking Garcia for some time now and admire the 23-year-old. However, they are not the only big club in Europe eyeing him.
Indeed, according to the report, Premier League giants Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the Espanyol ace, along with Ligue 1 champions PSG.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also in the mix, having failed with an attempt to sign him last summer in a deal worth €12 million which would have risen up to €20 million.
Furthermore, Barcelona’s arch-rivals, Real Madrid, are also said to be among Garcia’s admirers.
While the Catalans like the goalkeeper, a move this summer appears unlikely and as such they could end up missing out on him given that a plethora of other big clubs could sign him before next season.
