Barcelona faced yet another roadblock in their title challenge, as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Getafe.
It was not the best of performances from the Catalans, who missed a lot of opportunities, as pointed out by coach Hansi Flick in the post-match press conference.
Apart from the result, another concerning factor for Barcelona fans was the abrupt substitution of Marc Casado.
The young midfielder was taken out at half-time, with Frenkie de Jong replacing him in the middle of the park.
Casado has been a top performer for Barcelona this season and has played the entirety of ninety minutes on most occasions. So naturally, his half-time substitution led to fears over his fitness.

However, Javi Miguel has confirmed that Casado has not picked up any fresh injury and that his substitution was purely tactical.
This could come as a major relief for the Catalans, who cannot afford the injury of another midfield lynchpin, especially after the way Marc Bernal got out early on in the campaign.
Flick’s move to substitute Casado at half-time, meanwhile, was a curious move. Unfortunately for the German, Casado’s replacement de Jong was not able to make too much of an impact on the proceedings.
The Dutchman mostly had to play an anchoring role and was not able to contribute anything going forward.
With pressure mounting, this performance against Getafe won’t help the cause for de Jong as he looks to make a crucial decision over his future in the coming months.
