Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado marked an important milestone by making his second senior appearance for the Spanish national team, playing the full 90 minutes in their thrilling 3-2 win against Switzerland.

His performance left a lasting impression on his teammates, many of whom were left in awe of the young Blaugrana talent.

Bryan Zaragoza, a fellow player, could not hide his admiration. He was so struck by Casado’s performance that he said he was left speechless. “He’s an animal,” said the Osasuna player as quoted by SPORT.

Zaragoza described Casado’s skills as “outrageous” and was genuinely taken aback by his impressive play.

“I don’t even know what to say about how he played. It’s an outrage. You see them so small that then you are shocked by how he scratches,” he admitted.

More praise for Casado

Yeremi Pino, another teammate, was also full of praise for the Barcelona midfielder. He called Casado “a machine” and noted that the young player had delivered a standout performance, both for Barcelona and now for Spain.

“He has given a recital, he has already shown his quality at Barça and now he has done it with the national team,” he said.

Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente also expressed his admiration for Casado’s display, noting how the midfielder played with the maturity of a veteran.

De la Fuente was impressed by how well Casado adapted to the team in just a game and a half, reading the game like an experienced player.

“It was impressive how he played in a game and a half with the team, he looked like a veteran for the way he read the game,” said the national team coach.

Now, with his debut firmly behind him, Casado faces the challenge of maintaining his impressive form to secure a place in Spain’s squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League quarter-final in March.
