Barcelona officials meet Jorge Mendes for urgent transfer talks | OneFootball

Barcelona met agent Jorge Mendes on Wednesday evening as they look to wrap up their transfer business quickly, with preparations under way to unveil Germany's Karim Adeyemi on Thursday.

According to SPORT, Mendes dined with sporting director Deco and presidential adviser Alejandro Echevarria, and several transfer matters were on the table.

Talks were dominated by the future of midfielder Marc Casado and the prospect of a permanent return for Portugal's Joao Cancelo, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Camp Nou from Saudi club Al Hilal.

The report added that while Mendes also represents Alejandro Balde and Hector Fort, decisions on their situations are not considered urgent.

Mendes maintains strong ties with Real Madrid, having overseen the deal that brought Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho back to the club earlier this summer.
