Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo has attracted attention from Saudi Arabia, but there is no intention from either side to push forward with a transfer.

According to a recent report from MARCA, Al-Qadsiah FC have shown interest in the Spanish international and have even made informal contact with Barcelona officials.

In fact, it is said that the Saudi club have also sent representatives to Spain to watch Olmo in action on multiple occasions.

Despite these movements, though, it has been noted that there has been no official offer.

The situation remains at an early stage, with only exploratory conversations taking place so far.

Olmo does not want to leave

From the player’s side, it is clear that he is not thinking about leaving Barcelona, even though he has been linked with a potential move to Inter as part of a swap deal for Alessandro Bastoni.

Even after a season that has included issues with injuries and limited starting XI opportunities, he remains focused on establishing himself at the club.

Internally, Barcelona share the same idea. That means the club is not considering a sale and still see Olmo as part of their plans moving forward.

Interestingly, the player himself is not even fully aware of concrete interest.

While there have been informal approaches at the club level, nothing direct has been communicated to him or his camp.

A difficult season

On the pitch, Olmo’s season has been pretty decent despite the challenges.

He has featured in 38 matches, starting 22 of them, while contributing seven goals and eight assists.

However, competition has increased, with Fermin Lopez gaining prominence and taking on a bigger role in the team.

Even so, Olmo’s position has not changed. He is determined to succeed at Barcelona and prove his value, regardless of the competition for places.
