These final days of the summer transfer window could prove to be interesting for FC Barcelona. With several operations hanging in the balance, a surprise sale or exit might not be completely impossible. In that sense, one name to keep an eye on is Marc Casado.

The 21-year-old midfielder continues to be linked to various clubs, despite reportedly having no intention to leave Barça this summer. Still, while some attractive offers remain on the table, the Catalan club has already rejected one particular advance.

According to RAC1 (via SPORT), Barça has already rejected Girona’s offer to loan out the young midfielder. The reason for this, reportedly, is that the Catalan giants would only consider a permanent sale with a significant transfer fee involved.

Moreover, the move would need to have Casado’s approval as well, which appears unlikely for now. The €30 million-rated Spanish midfielder is more than happy at Barça and believes that he can fight for more opportunities, despite the fact that the squad has a lot of competition already.

Still, considering that the transfer window is still open, a lot could happen between now and then. Moreover, major European clubs remain interested in Casado, and a permanent transfer for the player is not yet ruled out, considering the kind of offers that have been reported.
