The long-term battle for the services of Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies looks set to come to an imminent end.

This comes amid confirmation that the Canadian international has opted to knock back the interest of a number of leading European clubs, to sign for Real Madrid.

Left-back Davies is due to see his contract terms with Bayern Munich come to an end in the summer of 2025.

Widely considered to be one of the standout full-backs in world football, the 24-year-old’s signature has in turn long been on the agenda for clubs across the continent.

As confirmed by Marca, both Barcelona and Manchester United have approached Davies’ entourage, with the board at Bayern having also tabled a series of renewal offers.

The defender, however, has stood firm.

This comes with Davies only having eyes for Real Madrid, all set to commit to a pre-contract agreement with the Spanish champions following the turn of the year.
