Barcelona release new Kobe Bryant kit for 2026-27 season | OneFootball

Barcelona have launched a new Kobe Bryant kit for the upcoming 2026-27 season, as they go in search of three La Liga titles in a row. The home kit has already been revealed by the club, and on Friday, supporters were made aware of the away kit that Hansi Flick’s side will adorn from now until next May.

Last season was the first time that Barcelona wore a Kobe Bryant-inspired kit. Their gold and blue number went down well with supporters, so the club will hope that the new one is equally welcomed. Released on Friday, it features a black and purple shirt, purple shorts and black socks.

The kit colours are inspired by Bryant’s “Mamba Mentality” trademark. The name, thought up by the late NBA superstar, related to his own personal sporting philosophy, centred on ambition, focus and striving for excellence. The kit itself features Bryant’s three-horned Mamba logo, while it is also covered in a weave pattern. Furthermore, it also features a silicone club crest that has also been stamped with a snakeskin texture.

Will Barcelona achieve more success in their new kit?

Last season, the first in which Barcelona were partnered with the Kobe Bryant brand, was successful for the Catalans as they retained their La Liga and Spanish Super Cup titles. They will drop to make it three in a row in 2026-27, while they will also hope to finally bring to an end their Champions League drought, which currently stands at 11 years.

They have already added Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi to Hansi Flick’s options for the upcoming season, which gets underway next month. They will each get their chance to wear the new Kobe Bryant kit, but it remains to be seen what further new signings will also have it on – Julian Alvarez is one that club bosses are hoping for.
