According to a report from TalkSport, Marcus Rashford has not given up on his long-standing dream of joining Barcelona, even as he begins to rediscover his form while on loan at Aston Villa.
The Manchester United forward was linked to the Catalan giants back in January, with sporting director Deco publicly confirming that talks had taken place.
At the time, the possibility of Rashford donning the Blaugrana colours was quite high, but the deal failed to materialise and Rashford ended up heading to Aston Villa instead.
Now, with his performances improving in the Premier League and in Europe, the 27-year-old is once again hoping to catch the eye of Barcelona.
It must be noted that the Englishman was especially impressive in Villa’s recent Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain, another club that has long admired him, potentially reopening doors across Europe.

However, the forward’s heart appears to remain set on a move to Barcelona.
Sources close to Manchester United suggest that a return to Old Trafford may not be a realistic option for Rashford after falling out with Ruben Amorim.
From Rashford’s perspective, a move to Barcelona could provide the ideal platform to relaunch his career at the highest level.
It must be noted that the Blaugrana are expected to bring attacking reinforcements in the summer, and Rashford’s blend of pace, versatility, and experience at both club and international level could make him an intriguing option.
While finances will inevitably play a part in any potential deal, Rashford’s dream of playing for the club is far from over.
With Deco still keeping tabs on his development and the player himself eager to make the leap, this is one transfer saga that could heat up as the summer window approaches.
