FC Barcelona will be looking to sort out various transfer operations in the upcoming weeks. The transfer window still has a lot of time left, and La Blaugrana will want to make good use of it. However, not every operation has proven to be equally fruitful for Barcelona.

The signing of Joan Garcia went as smoothly as it could have gone, and things looked positive for the Catalan giants. Unfortunately, they have been unable to sign any player since then and the Nico Williams operation was undoubtedly a big waste of time.
With the Athletic Club winger extending his contract until 2035, the Catalan club now has to look at other alternative options. Originally, Liverpool forward Luis Diaz seemed like the likely candidate, but a new report suggests that another player might have just become Barça’s main priority.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Barcelona have now reopened talks with 27-year-old Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford. Moreover, a potential move for Luis Diaz now looks unlikely as the Englishman seems to have overtaken the Colombian forward in terms of which player is currently Barça’s priority target.
La Blaugrana will now reportedly try again for Marcus Rashford, and the Catalan giants will likely speak with Manchester United sooner or later as well. However, Barcelona will likely need certain conditions to go their way if they are to truly pursue his signing.
Despite still being contracted to Manchester United, it seems clear enough that the Premier League side does not count on the player for the future. Thus, an exit seems incredibly likely this summer and Barcelona are among the clubs interested in the player’s services.
However, beyond just signing a foreign player, Barcelona will also look to test out their own youngsters yearning for opportunities. In fact, there are a handful of options at the club already who could offer a profile that Hansi Flick wants in a new winger for the first team.
