The brass at Barcelona will on Sunday evening be rubbing their hands together.
This comes owing to the latest transfer activity on the part of their counterparts at La Liga rivals Celta Vigo.
As per a report from transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, after a positive loan stint with the club this past season, Ilaix Moriba will imminently see his Celta switch made permanent:
‘Celta Vigo have informed RB Leipzig that they will activate the option to buy for Ilaix Moriba! Transfer fee: €6 million. The clubs are now finalising the deal.’
As alluded to above, though, Leipzig are not the only ones set to benefit financially from midfielder Moriba’s upcoming move to Balaídos.
Barcelona, for their part, secured a 10% sell-on clause as part of the deal which sent the 22-year-old to Germany back in the summer of 2021.
This means that the Blaugrana are entitled to a €600,000 cut of his transfer fee.
