Barcelona star confirms plans to stay at the club ‘for the rest of my life’ | OneFootball

An up-and-coming member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Tuesday announced his intention to see out the entirety of his career with the club.

The player in question? Marc Casadó.

Midfielder Casadó, for his part, is fresh off something of a breakout start to the new campaign.

At last afforded a consistent run of minutes by new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick, the Spaniard has shone bright from his berth at the base of midfield.

Casadó’s all-action, all-the-time stylings have only served in endearing the La Masia product to the Blaugrana faithful, too, eager for another of the club’s academy talents to succeed at senior level.

And, as alluded to above, if the 21-year-old himself has his way, then he will go on to call the Camp Nou his home for the remainder of his playing days.

Speaking in an interview with Jijantes, as cited by Diario Sport, on Tuesday, Casadó had the following to say when drawn on his current situation in Catalunya’s capital:

“I’m very happy with the start of the season. Things are going well, both individually and, above all, as a team. I was waiting this summer to see if he would renew his contract or if I would go on loan. My intention is to keep wearing this shirt for the rest of my life.”
