The young star played the entirety of the game and was a necessity for Luis de la Fuente’s team on the pitch. Beyond just regularly attracting multiple defenders and opening up space for his teammates, Yamal had some moments of magic of his own as well.

From constant dribbles to threatening the Belgium goal, Yamal had the opposition focused on him for much of that clash. He completed the most dribbles in the game with 4, was also ever-present in the opposition box with 12 touches there, and constantly thwarted the opposition goal with his shots as well.

Moreover, the young winger also won several fouls for the team while continuously looking to create openings in the final third for his teammates. The youngster looks incredibly sharp right now, and this is exactly the kind of momentum that he needs to remain consistent with heading into a big clash against France.

Previously, Yamal also managed to grab the Superior Player of the Match award in the match against Austria. This now makes it two games in a row that the player has won this award, and it is clear to see that he is living up to the promise he made to deliver in the upcoming games at the tournament.
