A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has knocked back recent interest from a number of the Premier League’s leading clubs.
The Blaugrana star in question? Marc Bernal.
Youngster Bernal is of course widely considered to be something of a star in the making amongst those of a Barcelona persuasion.
After recovering from a long-term spell on the sidelines with a knee injury this past season, the Spaniard quickly set about reestablishing himself in the plans of manager Hansi Flick.
All told, across an eventual 33 appearances in all competitions, Bernal racked up five goals and an assist.
And if the latest word stemming from the media late this week is anything to go by, then the Barca faithful can likely look forward to their side’s engine room gem continuing to showcase his talents in Blaugrana colours for years to come yet.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘In the most recent transfer window, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal gathered information (on Bernal), but there was nothing to be done.’
The 19-year-old responded to the interest in his signature with an unwavering message: ‘I’m going nowhere’.
