Barcelona managed to sign Joan Garcia from Espanyol for €25m this summer. He has already started in three La Liga matches for Barca, conceding three goals and earning one clean sheet so far.

The 24-year-old managed to shine for his previous club, Espanyol. He made 67 appearances for the Spanish outfit, shipping in 72 goals while keeping 21 clean sheets in the process across all competitions.

Garcia has shown that he can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks for the Catalan club. We can expect him to have a solid campaign at the Nou Camp.

Marcus Rashford (on loan)

The Catalan giants opted to bring in Marcus Rashford on a season-long loan deal. He is expected to be a regular on Hansi Flick’s bench this season. The Barca boss would rely on someone of his versatility and experience if he wants his team to challenge across all fronts.

Barcelona can definitely use Rashford’s pace to make an impact late in games throughout this campaign.

Barcelona sold Pau Victor to SC Braga in a €12m deal and Pablo Torre to Mallorca for €5m in this summer transfer period. Furthermore, the Catalan outfit recouped €6m for Alex Valle. Still, Flick did well to retain most of his stars this summer.

Has Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick Done Enough To Retain The La Liga Title?

Despite not making any marquee signings this summer, Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick would be confident about his side’s chances of retaining the La Liga title this season.

The Catalan club have still got a lot of quality in their first-team. However, it remains to be seen whether they have enough depth to compete across all fronts this season. Even so, the Barcelona fans would be optimistic about their chances of success as long as Flick’s men can avoid getting too many injuries.

Despite not making any major signings this summer, Barcelona have done well to not lose any of their first-team stars. Only time will tell whether they have done enough to have another successful campaign under Flick.
