Roony Bardghji was one of the few players who joined FC Barcelona in the last summer transfer window, as the Catalans brought him in to bolster their attack, along with Marcus Rashford.
However, the fact that he plays in the same position as Lamine Yamal, and as of now, has 1 goal and 2 assists to his name in the 341 minutes that he has played in 13 games so far.
But this low prominence has not kept his demand in the market from increasing. According to SPORT, clubs from all across Europe have inquired about the possibility of getting him on loan, including the Portuguese side Porto.
The 20-year-old Swedish winger has impressed in training and matches with his attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn. The coaching staff recognizes his professionalism, which has helped increase his market value even with minimal minutes on the pitch.
Interest in Bardghji is not new. Last summer, clubs such as Mallorca and several from the Premier League explored opportunities to bring him on loan to gain experience. The winter transfer window has reignited these inquiries, with multiple offers now reaching Barcelona’s offices.
However, Hansi Flick is determined to keep Bardghji at the club this January. The manager views him as an important squad asset for a season expected to be hectic, believing Bardghji still has significant potential to grow and contribute.
While a loan move could be considered at the end of the season, depending on his development and playing time, for now, Barcelona are intent on retaining one of their most promising young talents.
With four starts and 341 minutes across 13 appearances so far, Bardghji remains an attractive prospect for clubs across Europe, and his stock continues to rise despite limited first-team involvement.
