Those behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona will no doubt have had their attentions piqued by ongoings on the international front on Friday.
This comes after upcoming Champions League opponents Paris Saint-Germain were dealt not one, but two blows on the personnel front.
Both came during France’s World Cup qualifying meeting against Ukraine.
First, Désiré Doué was forced into a premature departure from the action, after picking up what appeared to be a muscular complaint.
Then, the man who replaced Doué in Didier Deschamps’ XI, PSG teammate Ousmane Dembélé, also limped out of the action with an injury.
It now remains to be seen if the two gifted wingers are facing up to any kind of substantial incoming spell on the sidelines.
Should this prove to be the case, they could miss PSG’s highly-anticipated upcoming Champions League showdown with the aforementioned Barcelona, pencilled in for October 1st.
