Barcelona ‘to seek’ João Cancelo stay as Al Hilal set €15m fee | OneFootball

Barcelona have informed Al Hilal they want to keep João Cancelo, and the Saudi club have set out terms for a permanent deal.

Record writes that Barcelona plan to retain the full-back for 2026/27, though the club are not fully convinced yet. The same report adds Al Hilal are seeking €15m to sell the former Benfica defender.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Cancelo’s displays have been convincing and have drawn repeated praise from Hansi Flick. That report adds he found new life after leaving Saudi Arabia in January.

Cancelo is currently with Portugal after Roberto Martínez named him for friendlies against Mexico and the United States, part of summer World Cup preparation.

This season for Barcelona, he has made 11 appearances, seven in La Liga, two in the Champions League and three in the Copa del Rey. Across 740 minutes he has registered one goal and three assists. He is valued at €10m.
