Barcelona youngster attracts interest from La Liga club | OneFootball

In addition to strengthening their team by getting their preferred players for some of the weaker areas and to find new clubs for their current players who are not in plans of Hansi Flick for the next season, another task that FC Barcelona would have to address in the upcoming summer transfer window would be to find new clubs for some of their youngsters to help them continue with the growth and development.

This is particularly the case with those players whom the club believes have outgrown the youth and reserve categories, and need a challenge in the first division to take the next step in their career.

One player who falls in this category, and for whom the Blaugranes are looking for a new club this summer, is the young forward Toni Fernandez. The player is already attracting demand from the market as well, as SPORT reports that the La Liga side Sevilla is interested in his signing, and can present a proposal with a buyback option for Barcelona, while some other options can also be considered.

Some reports indicate that the Andalusians are looking to make an offer of around €3 million. However, the strained relations between Sevilla and the Catalan club can complicate this operation.

Previously, the group headed by the former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, which was looking to buy the Andalusian club, had explored this signing. Although that acquisition operation did not conclude successfully, the current Sporting Director of the club, Jose Ignacio Navarro, is also closely following the player.

Some reports also suggest that initial talks have already taken place between the involved parties. But for now, it remains to be seen how this operation would develop, but there is no doubt that Sevilla could turn out to be a very good option for Toni Fernandez to continue with his growth and development, and hopefully come back to Barcelona as a more accomplished player in the future.
