The past few days have been quite difficult for FC Barcelona as they have lost multiple players in the first team and reserve team to injuries.
It started with January signing Patricio Pacifico suffering an ACL rupture while in action for Barça Atletic, ruling him out for 8-9 months.
Last night, both Joao Cancelo and Lamine Yamal suffered injuries against Celta Vigo, and while the former is fine, the teenage sensation’s season is over.
Now, according to SPORT, one of the most highly-rated young talents at La Masia, Juan Hernandez, has suffered a serious knee injury.
The full extent of the injury is still to be confirmed following further tests, but the initial outlook is not encouraging.
As per the report, the 18-year-old attacking midfielder is likely to miss the remainder of the season due to the injury, which comes as a bitter blow to Barça Atletic.

The La Masia graduate has been one of the key players for Barça Atletic this campaign, playing 30 matches in which he has four goals and six assists.
Hernandez has also trained with the Barcelona first team on several occasions and is very much on the radar of manager Hansi Flick. He has been called up to the matchday squad for five games by the German.
Given his potential, Barcelona had recently extended his contract until 2028 with an option for an additional year. Following that, he was expected to take part in the summer’s pre-season with the first team under Flick.
Now, it remains to be seen how this injury affects those plans.
