Barreal suspended for Santos against Atlético-MG after third yellow | OneFootball

Barreal will miss Santos’ meeting with Atlético-MG on Saturday after collecting his third yellow card in the 3-1 defeat to Flamengo at the Maracanã in the 10th round of the Brasileirão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the Argentine attacking midfielder conceded a penalty and was cautioned by referee Anderson Daronco. The number 22 had been one booking from a ban.

The Atlético-MG match is scheduled for 20:00 at Vila Belmiro.

Assistant coach Cuquinha, brother of head coach Cuca, was sent off and will also be absent from the bench.

Neymar Jr and Rony return after serving suspensions against Flamengo for their third yellows.

Only two Santos players were booked on Sunday, Barreal and Gabriel Bontempo, with Bontempo now one caution from suspension.
