Barry Bannan has reacted to Josh Windass' recent showing in a 2-1 win for Wrexham against Sheffield United, in a response Owls fans will love.
Wrexham sent a statement out to the rest of their promotion-chasing rivals at the weekend, as they edged out Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Phil Parkinson's side fell behind on the day, with Andre Brooks opening the scoring for the Blades. That lead didn't last long though, with former Sheffield Wednesday forward, Josh Windass equalising just nine minutes into the second-half of the contest.
Sam Smith then netted a winner with just 12 minutes remaining on the clock, which sent the travelling Wrexham support into a frenzy behind the goal.
The win means that Wrexham remain seventh in the Championship table, but are level on points with sixth-placed Southampton, who currently occupy the final spot in the play-offs.
Parkinson will be hoping that the likes of Windass and Smith can continue to add to their goal tally this season, with just seven games remaining in this year's league campaign.

Josh Windass recently took to his official Instagram account to issue his post-match verdict on the win over Sheffield United, and it's safe to say that the former Sheffield Wednesday man enjoyed his time back in front of his former rivals.
The striker captioned the photo with the following message, which is certain to go down well with both Wrexham and Sheffield Wednesday supporters.
"11th goal and 3 points. Thanks for the warm reception."
Windass spent five years with Sheffield Wednesday between 2020 and 2025, making 182 appearances, and scoring 53 goals in his time with the Owls.
One former Sheffield Wednesday team-mate that reacted to Windass' social post was Barry Bannan, who was clearly delighted to see the Wrexham forward on the scoresheet against the Blades.

Bannan was another firm fans favourite amongst the Sheffield Wednesday fanbase, and they're certain to enjoy his comment on Windass' recent Instagram post.
The Scotsman made 477 appearances for the Owls, before going on to sign for Millwall on an 18-month contract, which brought an end to a nine-year spell at Hillsborough, where the midfielder was clearly emotional upon his departure.

Both Windass and Bannan have gone on to a brighter future when it comes to results on the pitch, with both Wrexham and Millwall mounting a serious push for promotion into the Premier League.
Bannan and his Millwall team-mates are sat fourth in the Championship table heading into the international break, and the Lions will be eager to put together a positive run of results when they return to action, after holding fellow promotion-chasers Ipswich Town to a 1-1 draw at Portman Road.
Millwall had plenty of chances to win the game against the Tractor Boys, but were forced to settle for a point, in a game that they can take plenty of positives from.
The days of worrying about off-field struggles aren't something that Windass and Bannan have to worry about nowadays, with the Owls still not quite having new owners confirmed after Dejphon Chansiri's disastrous time in charge with Sheffield Wednesday.
