Bayer Leverkusen sign Miguel Gutierrez from Napoli | OneFootball

Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of Miguel Gutierrez from Napoli, confirming the arrival of the 25-year-old left-back on Wednesday.

Transfermarkt reports that the fee is 26 million euros. Leverkusen, who finished sixth in the Bundesliga last season, moved for Gutierrez after Alejandro Grimaldo joined Atlético de Madrid for 22 million euros in early July.

An academy graduate at Real Madrid, he made 10 senior appearances and collected a Champions League and two Spanish league titles. He joined Girona in the summer of 2022.

Across three seasons in Catalonia he produced six goals and 19 assists in 112 matches, and won an Olympic gold medal with Spain.

Napoli signed him in the last summer window for 18 million euros. In Leverkusen he will reunite with compatriots and former team-mates Lucas Vazquez and Aleix Garcia.
