Bayern Munich have lodged an appeal against Luis Díaz’s suspension after the forward was sent off in the 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen.
According to Sky Germany, the club have taken the case to the DFB sports court.
Referee Christian Dingert showed Díaz a second yellow card for alleged simulation, a decision that provoked controversy. Bayern criticised the call after the match, and Dingert later acknowledged it was a mistake on review.
Chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen expressed concern over recent weeks, citing repeated contentious decisions in Hamburg, Dortmund and Leverkusen that he said often went against Bayern. He urged the DFB to improve refereeing standards, adding that while Dingert’s admission was commendable, it did not help the club.
Bayern face Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday, then play Union Berlin in the Bundesliga next week.
