Bayern are Bundesliga social media champions for 2024/25 | OneFootball

After success on the pitch with the 2024/25 Bundesliga title, Bayern have again been named Germany’s best in the online world as the Bundesliga’s social media champions by the International Football Institute (IFI).

The IFI evaluated the social media accounts of all 18 Bundesliga clubs across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok throughout the season, focusing on interactions and growth rates on the channels. The number of followers, posting frequency and the reach of videos (reels) were also analysed.

Each channel received a value that was added together. A formula then calculated the club’s social media index figure, which for Bayern was 3.11 to finish top of the league, ahead of Borussia Dortmund (2.89) and Heidenheim (2.74).

That success is the result of the club’s content strategy, which puts fans at the heart of all Bayern’s media channels and provides them with special insight, updates and entertainment. Over the past 12 months, great emphasis has been placed on the further development of storytelling, in-depth video formats and in-house photo shoots & graphics.
