Bayern Munich could face serious competition from Manchester City to sign Feyenoord right-back Givairo Read in the summer transfer window.
The Citizens could be looking to sign a new right-back in the summer window, and they have been checking on several options.
In recent months, Pep Guardiola’s side have been linked with a move for Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento, but he would be an expensive purchase.

Man City have been keeping a close eye on Givairo Read for a while now.
The 19-year-old joined Feyenoord from Volendam in 2023 and has been enjoying a breakthrough campaign, where his impressive performances in Europe have caught the attention of heavyweight clubs.
Read has made 12 appearances in the Eredivisie, registering three assists, and has also started in three Europa League games.
Christian Falk has exclusively told CFBayern that Bayern are concerned about Man City’s potential threats to sign Read.
The Bavarian giants have already made contact to sign the young defender, but City can pay big money in the region of €20m-30m [£17.2m-26m] to lure him away.
“It is TRUE: Bayern Munich face serious competition from Manchester City for Givairo Read. Bayern are wary of this. I heard they’re now trying to make a quick deal and start talks with Feyenoord right now. That’s because they’ve already been in touch with the player – he knows FC Bayern want him.
“But now they have to hurry because if Premier League clubs make wild offers that push up the transfer fee beyond the point Bayern are currently thinking about (about €20m-30m [£17.2m-26m]) for Read, it could complicate matters. They want to make a quick deal so they don’t have to worry about Man City getting involved. FC Bayern will have to withdraw from the poker if it gets too expensive.”
Falk previously told CFBayern that Read has emerged as a top target for Bayern in the summer transfer window, and they may need to act quickly.
Sacha Boey moved to Galatasaray on loan during the January transfer window, and Bayern are most likely to sell him in the summer.
Konrad Laimer is the first-choice right-back at the club, but he is facing an uncertain future and has yet to sign a new contract.
Josip Stanisic is another option for Vincent Kompany, but a back-up right-back is required, and Read would be a fantastic addition.
