Bayern made it 13 league wins in a row with a comfortable victory at Freiburg, keeping their bid for a fourth straight title on track.

According to BuLi News, Wolfsburg head coach Stephan Lerch was left disappointed after their match in Bremen was postponed for the second time in 2026. He believed the disruptions affected their rhythm before Thursday’s Champions League tie with Juventus.

At the Dreisamstadion, debutant Edna Imade struck after four minutes, having scored five in her final two outings for Real Sociedad. Freiburg levelled following a mistake by Ena Mahmutovic, as with Manuel Neuer against TSG Hoffenheim, before the champions pulled away after the break.

Pernille Harder netted twice to reach nine for the season. Giulia Gwinn and Linda Dallmann each had a direct hand in two goals, while Klara Bühl unusually had none.

The leaders now visit Jena, the only side they have not beaten this season. They hold a nine-point lead, with both Bayern and Wolfsburg having games in hand compared with more than half the league.

For Wolfsburg, the first leg of their playoff tie will be only their second match of the year. Lineth Beerensteyn’s brace delivered a 2-1 win over Köln last week.

Eintracht Frankfurt were the only home winners on matchday 17. Rebecka Blomqvist scored the decisive goal on her first start since the 6-4 in Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim won 3-0 in Nürnberg to climb into the top three. Three penalties were awarded, with Marie Steiner and Selina Cerci scoring after Valesca Ampoorter’s fifth-minute miss. Cerci became the third player to reach double figures after Vanessa Fudalla and Alexandra Popp, and Nürnberg played with ten women following Lara Meroni’s 12th-minute red card.

Bottom side Carl Zeiss Jena stunned Union Berlin as Olivia Alcaide struck a 94th-minute winner on her debut. All three newly promoted teams lost at home, with RB Leipzig coming from behind against Hamburg. On Monday, Köln were held 0-0 at home by SGS Essen.
