Given Milan’s poor Serie A season this time around, absolutely no one in their squad is being considered indispensable. Almost anyone can be sold if a good offer comes in and centre back Malick Thiaw feels like someone that an offer can come in from. Calciomercato.com have reported that Thiaw, who was signed from Schalke 04 for €5m (plus €2m bonuses) in 2022, could be on his way back to his native Germany. Bayer Leverkusen have seemingly identified him as one of the candidates to replace the outgoing Jonathan Tah. Bayern Munich too are said to be an interested party, with their manager Vincent Kompany’s presence in the stands during the recent Milan derby only fuelling more rumours. Milan are expected to sell if an offer of around €25-30m is made. It is believed that Thiaw, on his part too, would like to go back to Germany as he believes that playing in the Bundesliga would help him catch the eye of German national team manager Julian Naglesmann before the 2026 World Cup.Kaulik Mitra | GIFN
