Bayern Munich boss confirms Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea | OneFootball

Bayern Munich Board Member for Sport Max Eberl has confirmed that Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson will be returning to Chelsea after the season concludes.

Bayern’s chief front office executive spoke on Jackson and other personnel matters during a guest appearance on German television program ZDF Sportstudio.

“We don’t have to exercise the [purchase] option because he hasn’t reached the required number of appearances,” Eberl said of the player Bayern honorary President Uli Hoeneß has already revealed possessed a contract deliberately structured so as to avoid a purchase. “In any case, we won’t be exercising that option.“

“He will absolutely be staying,” Eberl said of the €140m-valued French star attacker whom multiple European clubs will attempt to acquire this offseason. “We haven’t entertained the notion [of a sale] for a single second.“

“If Manu plays the way he does and feels ready to do it again, then I don’t see what’s standing in the way of him adding another year,” Eberl said of the legendary 40-year-old German keeper who sits on an expiring contract. “We’ll have a few more opportunities to chat with him over an espresso or coffee.“
