Bayern Munich are working on several contract renewals as they have a clear idea about players who can be part of their long-term plans. Jamal Musiala’s contract extension is at the top of the priority list for Bayern, even though his current deal expires at the end of next season.
Several top European clubs are keeping a close eye on the contract talks between Musiala and Bayern. Manchester City are already credited with interest in the German attacking midfielder, but Die Roten are desperate to secure Musiala’s future and make him the face of the club.
Musiala has been very candid about the conditions that Bayern need to satisfy for him to sign a contract extension. The German attacking midfielder wants to be part of a team that plays entertaining football and competes for big trophies.
Die Roten have been cautiously optimistic about extending Musiala’s contract. They have held positive talks with his representatives. While talking to RND this week, Musiala revealed that significant developments over his future are likely to take place during the winter break.
"At the moment I am concentrating on the games with the national team and FC Bayern. I know that a lot of eyes are on my situation, but I am trying to put as little pressure on myself as possible. I think we will know more during the winter break"- Jamal Musiala
It has been a productive season for Jamal Musiala until now. The young attacking midfielder has scored nine goals across all competitions. Musiala has been a game-changer for Bayern in recent games, including the crucial Champions League clash against Benfica.
In the interview with RND, Musiala revealed that intense conversation with Vincent Kompany about the key areas for improvement in his games has helped him to get better as a player. Musiala has been scoring different types of goals this season, including headers. He has added more goals to his game, which is helping Die Roten to become an even more well-rounded attacking unit.
Musiala also outlined his ambition to win the Ballon d’Or one day. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder didn’t make it to the top 30 of the list this year since Bayern went trophyless last season. Musiala is focussing on getting better as a player and winning as many titles with Bayern, which will eventually help in winning the Ballon d’Or.
Bayern are working hard to secure the future of Musiala. Considering what he has achieved at the age of 21, it is a no-brainer for Die Roten to break the bank for him. Musiala will certainly become one of the top earners in the squad if he agrees to a contract with Bayern during the winter break.
