Paris Saint-Germain gave serious consideration to signing Christopher Nkunku during the winter transfer window but ultimately decided against making a move. While he stayed at Chelsea, there’s growing speculation that he could be on the move this summer.

Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in 2023 for £52 million, but injuries and stiff competition have kept him from securing a regular place in the starting XI, casting doubt over his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.

Journalist Ben Jacobs previously reported that PSG looked into the possibility of bringing Nkunku back, although they never submitted a formal offer.

Bayern Munich also opted not to pursue him in January, but according to Sport Bild’s Christian Falk, the German giants could revisit their interest later this year.

What’s the latest on Christopher Nkunku?

Nkunku impressed during his time in the Bundesliga, but breaking into the Chelsea starting lineup has been tough, with Cole Palmer firmly ahead of him in the pecking order.

Bayern Munich showed interest in Nkunku during the January window but ended their pursuit—though the club is still in the market for a backup to Harry Kane. According to Falk on CF Bayern Insider, Nkunku remains on their radar.

Reports suggest Nkunku is open to leaving Stamford Bridge, but his potential move hinges on some help from Chelsea’s London rivals, Tottenham.

Spurs brought in Mathys Tel on loan over the winter, and Bayern are hoping the North London club will trigger a permanent deal—reportedly worth around €50 million (£43 million/$57 million)—to help fund a move for Nkunku.

Tel has scored three times in 13 appearances, but Tottenham have yet to decide whether to make the deal permanent this summer.
