Bayern Munich ‘to consider’ summer move as Brian Brobbey says he is not thinking of leaving Sunderland | OneFootball

Bayern Munich have been linked with a summer move for Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey, who has impressed this season.

He said: “It is always nice when such a big club shows interest, but I haven’t heard anything myself. So, I don’t know.” He told ViaPlay: “I don’t know. I’m not thinking about that right now.”

The Netherlands international joined the Black Cats in the final days of a hectic summer window and needed time to build fitness. After opening his account in a 2-2 home draw with Arsenal, he kicked on, his physical presence and work-rate troubling Premier League defences.

His form has drawn widespread praise and helped Regis Le Bris’ side push for European qualification. Ronald Koeman recalled him for last month’s friendlies against Norway and Ecuador, handing the striker his 9th and 10th senior caps.

“When I arrived here, everything was new and I wasn’t fully fit yet. I hadn’t played much at Ajax. So, I mainly had to work on my fitness, including substitute appearances and training sessions. I really grew in that area. And I also became more mature on the pitch. You play with experienced players who have been through a lot, like Granit Xhaka and Nordi Mukiele. You just learn from that.”
