PSG are expected to target a center-back this summer, and one player catching their eye is Bayern Munich centre-back Kim Min-jae. But there’s plenty of competition for the South Korean.
Last year, PSG leaned into a youth-driven approach with signings like Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho, and that trend may continue in this window. While the summer market is still a couple of months out, transfer chatter is already gaining momentum.
Although Kim stood out at Napoli, he hasn’t quite settled in or lived up to expectations at a club with Bayern Munich’s stature. As a result, a change of scenery could do the 28-year-old well, as he’s still in his prime years.

On Friday, CaughtOffside reported, citing sources, that Bayern Munich have lowered their asking price for Kim from around €50 million to closer to €35 million, and the defender is reportedly open to a move this summer.
According to the report, the 28-year-old would prefer a switch to the Premier League if he does leave the Allianz Arena. Liverpool are among the clubs showing interest in Kim, while Newcastle United have also made initial contact. PSG and AC Milan are said to be monitoring his situation as well.
