Bayern Munich are open to the departure of Kim Min-jae this summer, amid interest in the defender from the Premier League.

The South Korean has lost his place as a regular this season, following the arrival of Jonathan Tah form Bayer Leverkusen last summer.

Min-jae has started just 10 league games during the 2025-26 campaign and Bayern are open to offers at the end of the season.

According to BILD, Bayern sporting director, Max Eberl, has informed Kim Min-jae’s camp about their stance. The centre-back is understood to be content in Germany with his current role, though could reevaluate if attractive offers arrive.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both been linked with signing the 29-year-old, as the duo look to overhaul their central defensive options.

Min-jae has made 102 appearances for Bayern since joining from Napoli in a €50m deal in 2023. That fee made the defender the most expensive Asian footballer of all time.

He had previously helped Napoli to Serie A title success, earning the league’s Best Defender Award.
