Bayern puts the brakes on Musiala! Comeback not planned until 2026

FC Bayern will have to do without Jamal Musiala for the rest of this calendar year. Although the attacking star is working hard on his return, those in charge at Säbener Straße are exercising maximum caution with him. He is unlikely to play before the turn of the year, and even after that the club is deliberately taking its time.

As reported by kicker, Musiala is set to return to team training in December, but he will not be available for competitive matches until January 2026. After the 22-year-old suffered a serious fracture to his fibula at the Club World Cup in July, Bayern do not want to take any risks. Musiala will only return to the pitch when he is fully fit and physically back to 100 per cent.

Munich know exactly how essential Musiala is to their attacking play – but the strong start to the season is a clear argument for not forcing his comeback. Under Vincent Kompany, the German record champions have been in top form for weeks. In addition to established players such as Harry Kane, Luis Diaz, Michael Olise and Serge Gnabry, FCB have other high-quality options in attack in the shape of Nicolas Jackson and shooting star Lennart Karl, who will more than fill the gap until Musiala’s comeback.

Good news for Davies and Ito

While Musiala still needs patience, there are positive signs in defence: Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito are set to return to full team training after the international break. Both could be ready for action again as early as December – an important building block for Kompany, who now has two defensive players at his disposal again.

Musiala’s return, on the other hand, will be a topic for next year – and FC Bayern is convinced that patience is the best investment in the future with his talent.
