Bayern remain open to further talks with Stuttgart over a transfer fee, but club bosses are said to be unwilling to initiate contact themselves. They believe the next move must come from Stuttgart’s side. So far, however, VfB CEO Alexander Wehrle and sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth have rejected any proposal for face-to-face talks and see no reason to soften their stance.
Stuttgart would ideally like to keep Woltemade beyond the summer and are standing firm despite Bayern’s ongoing interest. But the player himself is keen to push for a move.
Woltemade, currently at Stuttgart’s training camp at Tegernsee, is said to be in low spirits. While he continues to train and play professionally, he has made his desire to leave clear on several occasions in recent days. He has again asked the club’s management and coaching staff to hold discussions with Bayern regarding a potential transfer.
Bayern bosses view Woltemade’s position as a positive sign and still believe they have a chance of completing the deal this summer, even if Stuttgart’s leadership remains reluctant to engage.
