Daniel Peretz’s future at Bayern München remains unresolved as two clubs—Genoa and newly promoted Bundesliga side Hamburger SV—are competing for the Israeli goalkeeper’s signature, according to FCBInside citing Sport BILD.
Bayern had been engaged in advanced discussions with Genoa for an initial loan deal, which would include an option to buy. Those negotiations were widely viewed as nearing completion, with transfer insider Fabrizio Romano suggesting a move to Serie A was a matter of days away. However, talks have not yet produced a final agreement, leaving the door open for other suitors.
Hamburg have re-entered the picture and are now holding active discussions with Peretz’s representatives. HSV’s director of professional football, Claus Costa, is said to be in close contact with the player’s camp about a possible transfer to the Volksparkstadion. The Bundesliga returnees are looking to strengthen their squad and see Peretz, 24, as an ideal candidate for the number one shirt.
Despite remaining under contract at Bayern until 2028, Peretz is not expected to feature for Vincent Kompany’s side this season. The arrival of Jonas Urbig has pushed Peretz further down the pecking order, and both a loan or permanent transfer are on the table as Bayern seek to provide the Israeli international with regular minutes elsewhere.
For HSV, urgency is high as they prepare for their return to the Bundesliga. They are actively evaluating multiple options between the posts and believe Peretz would add valuable competition and potential, particularly given his age and experience.
Genoa, meanwhile, maintain a strong interest, but their bid is not seen as decisive by Bayern at this stage and negotiations are ongoing with both clubs. Bayern are taking a patient approach, weighing up which proposal provides the best development path for Peretz while also aligning with the club’s financial and sporting expectations.
There is no indication yet about the player’s own preference, but the process is expected to accelerate in the coming weeks as all parties look for clarity ahead of the new season.
