Lucas Beltrán is pushing to be fit for Saturday’s visit to the Carlos Tartiere to face Real Oviedo, having missed the last three matches.

According to AS, the Argentine forward felt improved and did ball work on the Paterna pitch during the squad’s day off.

He is dealing with patellar tendinopathy, a painful issue whose recovery varies by case. Three group sessions remain before travelling to Oviedo, and over those days Beltrán, Corberán and the medical staff will decide if he is ready to compete.

If he is passed fit, he would likely be limited to some minutes, as there is no desire to force him and the team have a functioning alternative.

Javi Guerra has taken a place in the double pivot, Ugrinic has pushed higher to link with the striker, and Ramazani is making diagonal runs from the left so Sadiq is supported near the opposition area, duties Beltrán had been performing.
