In a recent report, journalist Ben Jacobs revealed that Manchester United could move in for Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers. Jacobs said,
“Morgan Rogers is expected to leave Aston Villa.
“This isn’t about Rogers pushing for a move away, he loves Unai Emery and Villa have Champions League football but they still have some financial hurdles to jump over even with that extra money.
“Offers in excess of £80million will be engaged with. Interested clubs feel around £80million whereas Villa sources I speak to feel like they get in a room at £80million, but maybe £90million and even £100million might be the number because we’re in an inflated market.
“Four teams in particular are active. Arsenal are one serious contender, they want a starting left-winger. Chelsea are looking for a creative-minded attacker. Man Utd and Rogers may develop and PSG might be a bit of a dark horse as well.”
Rogers enjoyed a productive campaign at the West Midlands club as he put in a series of impressive performances for them in the final third. The 23-year-old registered 14 goals and earned 12 assists in 55 matches for Aston Villa last season in all competitions.
The English talent is currently among the best playmakers in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Red Devils are in the running to land him.

His current contract at Villa Park will expire in the summer of 2031. Hence, Man United would have to make a big offer if they want to recruit him this off-season.
Rogers is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it in and around the opponent’s penalty area. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
The English talent can contribute by scoring and creating a lot of important goals for his team. Rogers has already proven his worth in the Premier League and has what it takes to make an immediate impact at the Mancunian club.
Rogers will enhance the quality of Man United boss Michael Carrick’s attack. He is good enough to nail down a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford next season. The English playmaker will also help the Red Devils challenge for some major honours over the next few years.
At 23, Rogers will only get better with each season. Hence, Carrick should consider going all out to snap him up in this summer transfer window.
