Benfica could go to €10 million for 22-year-old Stije Resink | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica are interested in signing Stije Resink and could offer seven million euros plus three million in add-ons, though Groningen are resisting. The midfielder is open to talks and is said to have already spoken with José Mourinho.

There has not yet been an offer received by Groningen, so the 22-year-old will wait to see what happens.

He regards regular European football as a draw. He would at least like to enter conversations if a Champions League calibre club came forward, without forcing a transfer, and believes club and player should work both ways.

Already captain and under contract until 2028, he has impressed with his displays. Interest has come from Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord, and from clubs in England, Germany, Spain and Türkiye.

Valued at seven million euros, Resink has played 20 competitive matches this season for Groningen, 19 in the Eredivisie and one in the cup. Across 1,800 minutes he has four goals and five assists.
