Tottenham Hotspur will entertain Borussia Dortmund at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. Spurs suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham United recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways in midweek.

Thomas Frank will probably stick with his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few tweaks to his first XI for this game. Lucas Bergvall, Kevin Danso and Djed Spence could all play from the start of this contest.

Defence

Guglielmo Vicario will function in between the sticks for Spurs after shipping in two goals in his last outing. Cristian Romero will resume his partnership with Kevin Danso at the heart of Frank’s defence as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the game.

Pedro Porro will try to prove his value as the right-back, while Djed Spence hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will try to go forward and express themselves in the final third.

Micky van de Ven will miss this game due to suspension, but Destiny Udogie will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray will anchor the midfield for the North London club as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and orchestrate some decent opportunities in the final third.

The talented trio of Mathys Tel, Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert will play just ahead of them as part of the Tottenham attack. All three of them need to be at their best if Spurs are to come out on top in midweek.

Dane Scarlett will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his chance to impress in the second half if required.

Attack

Randal Kolo Muani will lead the line for the North London club up top. He has to figure out a way to threaten the opponent’s goal.

Dominic Solanke will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Tottenham are in need of a goal by then.
