Real Madrid have re-entered the race for Bernardo Silva, a move linked to the potential arrival of José Mourinho. AS reports that the midfielder was offered to Madrid weeks ago but turned down while Mourinho was not in the club’s plans, and that Mourinho rates him among his preferred options.
With the prospect of Florentino Pérez turning again to the Portuguese coach, Madrid’s interest has been revived.
Silva is open to a fresh challenge after deciding to end his spell at Manchester City. Since then, Jorge Mendes has assessed options, with Barcelona and Atlético Madrid the most active in talks.
Juventus have also shown interest, but so far the chase appeared to centre on the two Spanish clubs.
Madrid’s late entry could reshape the picture. In this context, Silva and his representatives are understood to have slowed negotiations while they await clarity over the Santiago Bernabéu dugout before making a final decision.
