Besiktas have joined the chase for Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis, following interest from German clubs.
Fanatik reports that president Serdar Adali travelled to Madrid to meet Benfica officials to discuss the 27-year-old, that Benfica have allowed direct talks, and that Pavlidis reacted positively.
Talks could follow in the coming weeks, although the Greece international remains contracted to Benfica for three more seasons and retains a key role in the squad.
Since arriving at Luz, he has become a leading figure in attack. His release clause is set at 100 million euros and he continues to attract interest abroad.
In 2025/26 he played 53 games for Benfica, logging 4,244 minutes, with 30 goals and five assists. His appearances comprised 33 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. He is valued at 32 million euros.
