Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor has reportedly attracted interest from Besiktas.
Foot Mercato reports that the club from Türkiye could try to prise him from Wearside this month, adding that they are about to lose striker Tammy Abraham to Aston Villa in a £17.3 million deal.
Isidor has four goals this season, but he has not scored since late October and has slipped down the pecking order. Brian Brobbey has taken his place in the starting XI in recent weeks.
Head coach Regis Le Bris said last week he has held several talks with Isidor and his agent about opportunities and expectations. He described the forward as important, praised Brian Brobbey’s form, and noted that Eli Mayenda and Isidor remain ready. Le Bris accepted the player’s frustration, stressing that young signings can have dips and that dialogue with the staff is positive.
The report also says Besiktas plan to use funds from Abraham’s sale to target a number of Premier League players. Isidor features on that list alongside Wolves midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and West Ham duo Tomas Soucek and Alphonse Areola. Talks are said to be under way with all four.
