Juventus’ Men’s First Team kicked off their pre-season by sharing four goals with Reggiana at the Training Center. The game took place behind closed doors at Continassa, kicking off at 11:00 CEST, just hours before the Bianconeri set off for Germany, where they will be based until the 10 August friendly with Borussia Dortmund.
Although still very early in the summer and it being very much pre-season, Igor Tudor made some interesting selection choices in his XI. Jonathan David was chosen up top from the start, with Teun Koopmeiners and Francisco Conceicao behind the Canadian.
It was the new signing who came closest first, hitting the woodwork after being found by Fabio Miretti. The Bianconeri started well, and more chances fell the way of Conceicao, Koopmeiners and David again.
But Reggiana themselves looked up to speed. The Serie B side were compact at the back and managed to go ahead midway through the half through Natan Girma.
The lead wouldn’t last long though, with Conceicao levelling immediately with a well-taken effort from outside the box.
A lead being sought, Manuel Locatelli tried his luck and David had another effort before the break, but there were to be no more first-half goals.
Juve started strongly again in the second half, having changed the entire XI at the break, and Dusan Vlahovic wasted no time in getting on the scoresheet as he netted inside two minutes.
Vlahovic went close again moments later, and chances fell the way of Vasilije Adzic, Daniele Rugani and Kenan Yildiz as well.
Girma continued to be a threat for the Emilian visitors, and after Khephren Thuram went close for Juve, Cedric Gondo restored parity for Reggiana.
And so it ended 2-2 at the Training Center before a swift turnaround and departure for Germany.
