Birmingham City face a new injury worry after Paik Seung-Ho went off with a shoulder problem, casting doubt on Sunday’s FA Cup fourth-round tie with Leeds United.

The Championship side drew 0-0 with relegation-threatened West Brom at St Andrew’s on Tuesday. Controversy flared when Paik’s goalbound header was blocked on the line by Callum Styles’ arm and penalty appeals were waved away.

Paik then departed in the first half with what looked like a recurrence. The South Korean dislocated his shoulder in November, missing one game against Norwich City and around three weeks including an international break. He has four goals this season and has featured in all but one league match.

“It’s that shoulder again and it’s concerning because he’s a massive player,” said head coach Chris Davies to Birmingham Live.

“It’s obviously very painful to experience getting your shoulder like that again. We will have to see how he is and what exactly it means because it’s the second time that it’s happened now.”

Tuesday’s point leaves Birmingham one off the play-offs, with five teams clustered on either 46 or 47 points. Davies’ side are eight unbeaten in all competitions.

Leeds are likely to rotate again, as they did against Derby County when Ao Tanaka, Joel Piroe and Willy Gnonto started at Pride Park. Daniel Farke’s side drew 2-2 at Chelsea on Tuesday, then have close to a week before returning to league duty.
