Boca have made a new goalkeeper their top priority in this window, with Gerónimo Rulli, Juan Musso and Álvaro Montero heading the shortlist. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the club have already sent a formal contract proposal to Rulli’s representative.

Rulli is currently at the World Cup with Argentina. If he agrees personal terms, Boca have an economic offer ready to send to Olympique de Marseille. The 34-year-old is under contract until mid-2027.

He had planned to give a definitive answer after the tournament, though Boca are working to persuade him to conclude talks sooner.

Musso, 32, is another high-profile option and is on Atlético de Madrid’s books. His deal runs until 30 June 2028, so any talks would be complicated from a contractual standpoint, yet he remains firmly on Boca’s radar.

Colombian goalkeeper Montero, 31, currently on loan at Vélez Sarsfield until December, is viewed as the most attainable route. His loan includes a purchase option. The side coached by Guillermo Barros Schelotto will activate that clause, inserted by Millonarios when they loaned him, so they can negotiate with Boca.

A key practical point is that Boca have foreign-player slots available, so they would not need to free an international place to sign the Colombian.
