Jayden Bogle was voted the Hisense Player of the Match by supporters following Leeds United’s impressive 2-2 Premier League draw away at Chelsea, after a relentless display at Stamford Bridge helped spark a second-half turnaround.
The 25-year-old right-back played the full 90 minutes in West London and was central to Leeds’ fightback from two goals down, producing both attacking intent and defensive resilience throughout the contest.
With Leeds trailing 2-0, Bogle provided the moment that changed the match. Driving forward from deep, he surged into the Chelsea penalty area and was brought down, earning the visitors a spot-kick. Lukas Nmecha calmly converted to reduce the deficit and swing momentum in Daniel Farke’s side’s favour.
Bogle was not finished there.
Midway through the second half, another purposeful run into the box unsettled the home defence. As Chelsea defenders hesitated, Bogle showed composure to lay the ball off to Nmecha, who quickly teed up Noah Okafor to fire home the equaliser and complete the comeback.
It capped an industrious evening for the defender, who combined attacking threat with defensive work rate. Across the 90 minutes he registered 43 touches and completed 22 passes, while also carrying the ball 10 times for a total distance of 82.5 metres. Defensively, he contributed four key actions, including three clearances and two recoveries, and won four duels.
Supporters recognised his influence, awarding Bogle 57% of the Hisense Player of the Match vote. James Justin finished second with 14%, followed by goalscorer Noah Okafor on 9% and Lukas Nmecha on 4%.
