Bologna ‘to demand’ around £21.3m for Sunderland-linked Jhon Lucumí after Besiktas bid rejected | OneFootball

Bologna have reportedly rejected a Besiktas bid and set an asking price for Sunderland-linked centre-back Jhon Lucumí.

The Colombian has been on the Black Cats’ radar for about a year, but Bologna refused to sell late last summer. He said: "A year ago, we couldn’t sell him at the end of the transfer window, but we promised him that this year, given a suitable offer, we’d make it happen," speaking to Pallone nel 7.

The Serie A club are said to have turned down an offer worth around £12.8 million, and are holding out for a package in the region of £21.3 million.

Other Serie A and Premier League sides are also understood to be monitoring Lucumí’s situation.

Sunderland continue to assess defensive options, particularly left-sided and left-footed profiles, with Premier League, domestic cup and European commitments increasing the need for depth.
